Liverpool and Arsenal have been drawn in the Champions League last 16 Round.
Eddie Howe's side are on the verge of progressing, after a 6-1 thrashing of Qarabag FK, which gave them an unassailable lead ahead of the second leg on Tyneside.
The Magpies already know they will face one of:
■ Barcelona
■ Chelsea
On the other hand, the other Premier League teams that have qualified directly for the last 16 after finishing in the top eight of the league phase are:
■ Arsenal
■ Liverpool
■ Manchester City
■ Tottenham Hotspur
These teams are now awaiting the draw to find out their Champions League last 16 journey.
While it is still too early to make a clear plan ahead of next week's second leg, some teams already have a better picture of what awaits them. Arsenal, for example, know they will face one of these teams in the last 16:
■ Borussia
■ Dortmund
■ Atalanta
■ Olympiacos
■ Bayer Leverkusen
After the first legs of the play-offs, Dortmund and Leverkusen are now in a good position to progress, having both won their matches 2-0, putting them in a good position going into the second leg. This means the Gunners are likely to face one of the two Bundesliga sides if the results from the second leg remain unchanged.
Tottenham Hotspur will face the teams from these two play-off ties:
■ Galatasaray vs Juventus
■ Club Brugge vs Atletico Madrid
Turkish side Galatasaray beat Juventus 5-2 ahead of the decisive second leg in Turin, giving them a strong chance of progressing. Club Brugge and Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, drew 3-3 in a thrilling encounter, leaving everything open ahead of the second leg. Man City could face Real Madrid in the next round, after beating Benfica 1-0 in the first leg away. That match was heavily discussed, as Vinicius Junior was allegedly subjected to racist abuse during the match. But Real Madrid are not the only potential team City could face. Other options include: Bodo/Glimt Inter Milan Bodo/Glimt currently lead 3-1 on aggregate, and will travel to the Italian capital to complete the second leg. As such, the draw for the next round could be very difficult for Manchester City, with the possibility of them facing one of Europe's biggest teams.
